SL Gov is requesting a visa from Singapore for Gotabaya to stay longer



It is reported that the Sri Lankan government has asked Singapore to extend the visa of former President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa, who fled the country due to popular opposition, to stay in Singapore for a period of 14 days, 

The Singapore government's response to that request has not yet been reported, but it is said that permission will be granted. The Singapore government had previously stated that the president would not receive any special government support or other special facilities. The former president, who fled the country on July 14, went to the Maldives and then to Singapore. By August 14, the period of his stay in the country will be completed for one month and after that the Sri Lankan government has requested to grant him a visa for another 14 days.
